About
I’ve been playing the drums since I was 8 years old…that’s more years than I like to think about. Once I saw Ringo with The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, I was hooked. I’ve spent all of my time in the Dayton, Ohio area playing with many local Miami Valley bands … The Late Show (the 70′s), Starliner (early 80′s), and Mary Jane (late 80′s) to name a few.
In the day when electronics took over music and drummers were quickly replaced by drum machines, I sold my drums, and started playing and programming keyboards. This lead to songwriting, and one of my first successes was writing “Putting the Night On Hold” (Lauren Grey) that made the top 20 Billboard dance chart. Eventually I moved to a career of writing and producing music for radio and television. Through associations with several local ad agencies, I was able to produce music for Doc Severson and even B.B. King, a personal hero. Now that, was fun.
I’ve recorded in studios in the all over the tri-state area, but enjoy the comfort of my own studio, best. In 2003, I released a self-produced, smooth Jazz CD playing drums, keyboards, acoustic guitar and singing vocals. Having friends fill in the missing pieces was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to another project.
I’m currently the founder and president of Forward Media Group Inc, a group of Dayton Ohio Website Designers, and I’m the drummer for a Dayton Ohio classic rock band called Relic. My days are filled by working on a business that I love; nights and weekends are for drums!
